Dr. Junyu Liu is a quantum scientist affiliated with the University of Chicago and IBM. He presents “Quantum AI: From near-term to fault-tolerance” Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 1:00pm in LAR 234.

Nasim Soltani is a PhD candidate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Northeastern University. She presents “Deep Learning for Wireless Communications” Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 1:00pm in LAR 234.

Dr. Bosen Lian is currently an assistant professor with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Auburn University. He presents “Distributed Estimation, Objective Reconstruction, and Efficient Control of Multiagent Systems” Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 3:00pm in LAR 229.

Dr. Yiyu Shi is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, the site director of the National Science Foundation I/UCRC Alternative and Sustainable Intelligent Computing, and the director of the Sustainable Computing Lab (SCL). He presents “On-Device AI to Better Mobile and Implantable Devices in Healthcare” Friday, Dec. 1 at 1:00pm in LAR 234.

Dr. Ivan Ruchkin is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Florida, where he leads the Trustworthy Engineered Autonomy (TEA) Lab. He presents “Calibration Guarantees for Closed-Loop Safety Chance Prediction” Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 3:00pm in NEB 589.

Dr. Ludwig is the Co-Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Translational Neuroengineering (WITNe) and leads the Ludwig Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin within the WITNe structure. He presents “Lessons in Translation: Accelerating the Path to Market for Neurotechnology” Thursday, Nov. 9 at 1:00pm in LAR 234.

Linda Rae is the general manager for the power generation and oil and gas businesses for GE Digital. On Thursday, Sept. 28, at 1:00pm in LAR 234, she will provide an overview about GE Vernova (a spin-off for GE’s energy businesses) and GE Digital.

Ran Dou is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Florida and a research assistant with CNEL. He presents “Dual-stream External Memory for Long-term Dependency” Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 3:00pm in NEB 589.

Dr. Rafael Segundo is a Research Associate at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. He presents “Stability Assessment of Forthcoming Power Networks with Massive Integration of Renewable Energy Source” Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 3:00pm ET via IEEE.org.

Representatives from industry titan Intel will be visiting ECE Florida in person on Thursday, Sept. 14. The special networking event will feature five Intel representatives, a technical talk, a Q&A session, and a networking session.
