August 18, 2020Recent work by ECE Professor William Eisenstadt, supported by a grant from the Centers for Disease Control, seeks to equip the traditional ‘bioassay’ cages with networked sensors which are capable of delivering instantaneous data to handheld devices to ensure that the testing of mosquito control methods is more precise and more rigorous.

June 26, 2020Distinguished Professor José Príncipe was recently awarded an NSF grant in support of development of a low-cost smart multi-patient ventilator system. Working with Príncipe on the technology is ECE alumnus (MS ’88 PhD ’98) Dr. Neil Euliano, president and founder of Convergent Engineering.

Novel Peer-to-Peer Car Charging System Proposes to Automate, Mobilize EV Charging
May 1, 2020A novel system proposed by the Warren B. Nelms Institute for the Connected World aims to combine cloud computing, 5G connectivity, machine learning, and automotive automation systems to create what they call Peer-to-Peer Car Charging.
