ECE Assistant Professor Farimah Farahmandi has received funding from the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in support of her three-year project, “SVH: Security Verification of Heterogenous Integration.”

ECE Assistant Professor Jie Fu has received funding from the Army Research Office (ARO) in support of her project, “Verification and Synthesis of Assured Dynamic Cyber Defense with Deception and Counter Deception.”

Utilizing the AI supercomputing infrastructure at the University of Florida as well as the expertise which led to his receipt of an NSF CAREER Award, Dr. Asadi has emerged as a worldwide leader in the area of physical assurance for integrated circuits (ICs).

Researchers in UF’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, along with collaborators from UF/IFAS, are developing AI systems for the purpose of more accurately measuring ecosystem services and how they are impacted by various land management practices.

ECE Assistant Professor Navid Asadi has received an NSF CAREER Award in support of his project, “Backside Protection Against Contactless Optical Attacks on Integrated Circuits in Advanced Technology Nodes.”

ECE Assistant Professor Jie Fu has received a $550K NSF CAREER Award in support of her project Formal “Synthesis of Provably Correct Cyber-Physical Defense with Asymmetric Information.”

A publication co-authored by Dr. Roozbeh Tabrizian, Dr. Philip Feng, Troy Tharpe, and Dr. Xu-Qian Zheng currently graces the cover of Advanced Engineering Materials.

The cover of Applied Physics Letters‘ first issue of 2022 features the work of ECE Professor Philip Feng and his research group.

Dr. Vladimir Rakov has been awarded a $1M grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project, “Lightning Studies Based on Measurements Spanning the Ranges from Radio Frequency to Optical (including Infrared and Ultraviolet) to Gamma-Rays.”

ECE Assistant Professor and member of FICS Research Dr. Farimah Farahmandi has been awarded a $500K grant from DARPA for her project, “Security-Aware High-Level Synthesis (SHINE).”
