ECE PhD student Ulbert (Joey) Botero was recently awarded 2020 Outstanding Paper at the Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society (EDFAS) Virtual Workshop, held December 7–9 of last year for his paper, “Automated Via Detection for PCB Reverse Engineering.”

A number of ECE faculty, students, and staff were honored at the 2021 Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Awards Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 23.

ECE students showcased their capstone projects during Senior Design Expo, held on Thursday, Dec. 10.

This year’s Senior Design Expo moved into the virtual realm as students showcased their projects remotely.

“Eat, but Verify: Low-Cost Portable Devices for Food Safety Analysis,” a paper co-authored by ECE Florida faculty and Ph.D. students, has won First Best Paper Award at the 2019 IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine (CEM) Awards.

Senior Design Expo was held Dec. 5 in the lobby of the New Engineering Building (NEB). ECE Florida luminaries were on hand to do a final round of judging, with the top five teams winning cash prizes.

Since winning the first-ever Dell EMC AI challenge, the 4 team members have moved on to great success.

ECE Professor Kamran Mohseni and Kevin Nelson, a graduate research assistant working with Mohseni’s Research Group, were recently honored to find their work on the cover of the Nature Machine Intelligence.

Spring Senior Design Expo 2019 took place Thursday, April 25 in the New Engineering Building.
