Yier Jin is the Endowed IoT Term Professor in the Warren B. Nelms Institute for the Connected World and also an Associate Professor at ECE Florida. He presents “Hardware and Architecture-Supported Cybersecurity for Internet of Things” Thursday, Sept. 5 @ 1:00 pm, Larsen Hall 310.

Yier Jin, an associate professor, Roozbeh Tabrizian, and Domenic Forte (both assistant professors) have all recently received national awards recognizing outstanding work done by researchers early in their careers.

Dr. Yier Jin is a recipient of a 2019 Office of Naval Research YIP award, for “On-Chip Intelligent Sensor Based Real-Time Analog Trojan Detection Framework for Microprocessor Trustworthiness.”

The $600k grant supports their project which aims to design, implement, and fabricate REVELARE, a security solution for IoT devices, which protects IoT devices in two ways.

On the third floor of Benton Hall, Dr. Yier Jin and his students have built a massive, interconnected virtual city out of Lego bricks which will be used to further research in the area of IoT and cybersecurity.

Dr. Navid Asadi joins UF as a Research Assistant Professor in ECE and as the SCAN Lab Assistant Director at FICS Research, the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity Research. Dr. Yier Jin joins UF as an Associate Professor and IoT Term Professor, and as part of FICS Research, the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity Research.
