David Vozzola Establishes $125k Innovation Fund In Honor of His Father
January 17, 2024In a tribute to ECE alumnus David B. Vozzola (BSEE ’63), David E. Vozzola and Doreen M. Vozzola have established the David B. Vozzola Innovation Fund to foster innovation, research, and teaching within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. With the $125,000 philanthropic pledge, David E. Vozzola seeks to honor his father, a proud lifelong Gator Engineer.

Four ECE Faculty Receive 2024 DURIP Awards Supporting Defense-Relevant Research

Two ECE Faculty Members Elevated to IEEE Fellow
December 19, 2023Two ECE Florida faculty members, Dr. Swarup Bhunia and Dr. Volker Sorger, have been elevated to the rank of life fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of the prestigious grade elevation.

Baoyun Ge Receives NSF CAREER Award to Explore High-Performance, Highly Sustainable Electric Machines
