David Arnold Named Fellow of National Academy of Inventors

ECE Florida Professor David Arnold has been named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). This honor recognizes his work developing novel materials, the co-invention of MEMS microphone array technology, the 34 patents he holds, and multiple licensed technologies developed at UF.

Philip Feng Named Inaugural Rhines Endowed Professor for Quantum Engineering

Dr. Philip Feng, ECE professor and associate chair for research, has been named as the inaugural Walden C. Rhines Endowed Professor for Quantum Engineering. The endowment will support Dr. Feng’s research program, focused on quantum engineering, novel materials, and nanoelectricalmechanical devices (NEMS), as well as the creation of the Florida Quantum Initiative.
