Sachio Semmoto, Ph.D. (ME ‘68; Ph.D. ‘71),  ECE alumnus and world-renowned entrepreneur, delivered the commencement address at the UF Spring Doctoral Commencement Ceremony Thursday, May 1.

Join ECE for a unique fireside chat with world-renowned innovator and entrepreneur Dr. Sachio Semmoto. Students will have the chance to ask Dr. Semmoto about his life, his career path, and anything else on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 11:00am at the NVIDIA Auditorium in Malachowsky Hall.

ECE FLORIDA is excited to host an engaging event on Tuesday, April 23. As part of our annual External Advisory Board meeting, Sachio Semmoto Chair of ECE Mark M. Tehranipoor will moderate a panel discussion featuring many of the luminaries inducted into the ECE Hall of Fame the previous evening.

One of ECE Florida’s most distinguished alumni, Dr. Sachio Semmoto (MS ’68 PhD ’71), returned to the University of Florida (UF) for a whirlwind visit, participating in a Q&A session with students.

Students will get the unique chance of asking a world-renowned innovator and entrepreneur—Dr. Sachio Semmoto—about his life, his career path, and anything else on Monday, Feb. 19. The Q&A session with Dr. Semmoto will be held at 11:00am in the NVIDIA Auditorium in Malachowsky Hall and will be an in-person only event.
