Assistant Professor Roozbeh Tabrizian has been selected to receive a  2021 DARPA Director’s Fellowship, following his receipt of the 2019 DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA).

An article recently published in the Academic Times profiled exciting new technology patented by researchers at the Florida Institute for Cybersecurity (FICS) Research which promises a new way to detect recycled and counterfeit electronic parts. The technology created by ECE Associate Professor Domenic Forte and ECE Associate Professor Nima Maghari makes supply chains more secure, protects consumer safety and runs at almost zero cost.

Dr. Christine Allen-Blanchette is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. She presents “Leveraging Dataset Structure for Neural Network Prediction” on Tuesday, April 20 at 1:00pm via Zoom.

Qi Guo is completing his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Harvard University. He presents “Small computer vision by combining optics and computation” on Wednesday, April 14 via Zoom.

Md Jahidul Islam is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, advised by Junaed Sattar. He presents “Ensuring Robust Visual Perception for Underwater Robots in Adverse Sensing Conditions” on Friday, April 16 via Zoom.

Dr. Mohit Gupta is an assistant professor of computer sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He presents “Computational Imaging, One Photon at a Time” Thursday, April 8 at 1:00pm via Zoom.

Dr. Nikolay Bliznyuk is an associate professor of statistics at UF, with appointments in the Departments of Agricultural & Biological Engineering (main) & Biostatistics and Statistics (affiliate/courtesy). Dr. Luca Carlone is the Leonardo Career Development Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
