ECE Faculty to Lead Regional Hub for $285M Semiconductor Research Institute

November 4, 2024Dr. Roozbeh Tabrizian has been selected to be inducted as a 2024 Rising Star by the Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine of Florida. The organization honored Tabrizian for “pioneering advancements in semiconductor nano-electro-mechanical systems enabling transformative innovations in microwave spectral processing and precision timekeeping.”

Khalifa Receives Prestigious NIH New Innovator Award
November 4, 2024The National Institutes of Health has granted ECE Assistant Professor Adam Khalifa a $1.5M New Innovator Award, securing research funding that could revolutionize invasive surgical implants and improve understanding for disease detection.

Law Partners with ARO to Model Josephson Junctions
October 22, 2024Distinguished Professor Mark Law has received funding from the Army Research Office for his project “ColdPhase: Improved Junctions and Circuits.” The $425k project works to develop a combined tool with process and device modeling capability for Josephson Junction stacks based on NbTiN deposited using either PEALD or reactive sputtering.
