YK Yoon Receives NSF Award for Sustainable Materials Solutions

Yoon and UFTI Study Bus Bike Rack Usage

ECE Professor Yong-Kyu Yoon and UF Transportation Institute (UFTI) Director Lily Elefteriadou were recently interviewed by WUFT News about a years-long study of bus bike rack usage on local RTS buses. Dr. Yoon and his students deployed sensors on the racks which enabled them to track activity over time.

YK Yoon Showcases Smart Mouthguard on WCJB News

Y.K. Yoon, Associate Professor at ECE Florida, has developed an IoT device which is capable of harvesting data directly from the human mouth, enabling real-time health data, delivered via bluetooth to a smart phone. His work was recently featured on WCJB.
